Last weekend, ShiMikY da man was in town to settle his chores and replenish his Astro stocks. That’s what he said but for me, that is just his lousy reason to stop by KL to whack some tantalizing food. The day after our Look Out Point outing, we’re all set for a breakfast hunt at Klang.
The only thing that can drag my lazy bump to wake up so early on Sundays - food, nice food to be precise. I bet these people are very much like me. Wah lao eh! Sunday morning no need sleep ah! All wake up so early come rebut with me!
Klang is like a heaven of Bah Kut Teh, that’s what people say. There’s so many stalls over there that you’ll probably got confused which stall serves the best Bah Kut Teh. I’ve been to numerous stalls over the past 3 years in KL, frankly speaking, nothing thrilled me much as I do enjoy Penang’s Night Bah Kut Teh with extra pork intestines.
Until lately when ShiMikY brought me to this stall - Lai Choon Bah Kut Teh, I was dazzled. Located just behind Klang Parade, this shop serves both soup and dry Bah Kut Teh. Equally tasty, I can’t help but to thumbs up for this morning breakfast meal.
The soup tastes just adequate and pretty similar to the one near Padang Brown, Classic Cafe, in Penang. Just minus the intestines and my favourite pork tongue! Some might just say Yucks when it comes to this local delicacy but I must say that I was once like them. Never taste, never know. Also, never know, never like!
The dry BKT - awesome! Tastes so fresh with the soya sauce and dried chilly mixture was up to perfection. Plus the dried squid to bring out the taste of the pork meat, bravo.
So, to sum it all… my breakfast included 2 bowls of rice (large), countless piece of pork meat, yau char kwai, pork ball, mushrooms, vege, and bottomless chinese tea. What a breakfast!
and who says we shouldn’t eat Bah Kut Teh as supper in Penang? It is as much unhealthy when I eat it as my breakfast! LOL… This does not apply for Desmond-t as he prioritize food before health. Bon Apetite!

xin’s last blog post..Restoran Soon Tong in Southern Park, Klang
desmond-t: LOL, it is always crowded… Come here and you will realize many more great places to eat!
Klang boi here. & my 1st comment in ur blogsite.
Yes, you are most right. Klang is infested with bkt outlets. Plus, u can’t use the “pick-the-one-with-lots-of-people” theory coz most outlets are crowded daily.
However, please try the old and famous “under-the-bridge” outlet. (situation opposite Klang police station and same row with Klang KTM station). The outlet serves only the traditional soupy type tho’.
You will not regret the feast if you are a true Klang bkt lover! ^_^
Happy hunting!
