Winsoon Cafe - Ah Soon Fish Head Mee, Kuchai Lama
Posted by: desmond-t in Food, MalaysiaLet’s get back to KL, shall we? A little switch of tastebuds and we’re off to Kuchai Lama this time for my new found favourite. If you’d remember Chicken Hot Pot Restaurant, this shop that I’m gonna introduce to you is just around the corner too.
Introducing… Ah Soon’s Fish Head Mee at Winsoon Cafe, Kuchai Lama. This time we do it the KL style. The fish head noodle is exactly the milkish and sour type, which differs from the clear soup style we have in Penang. Being a lover of sour and spicy food, this is what I have been craving for in KL!
As the name of the shop depicts, they specialize in Fish Head Noodle, while you also can choose the Fish Paste Noodle or combination of Fish Head and Fish Paste. Among other famous choice includes the Fresh Prawn Noodle, Sotong Ball Noodle (Mee Hoon) and their long list of side dishes (which I don’t really fancy).
The Main Course - The Fish Head Mee Hoon… and below are the side dishes.
The portion is kinda standard… way bigger than the ones we have in Penang, as expected. With RM7.50 per bowl, pretty much value for money. They come with the sambal sauce which complements the soup and the fish!
Well, although I’ve been there many times, I always fail to capture lots of pictures of the stall. One of the reason is that I’m way too busy eating… cos they serve real fast (everything is mass prepared) and I busy eating and I’m busy munching away and I’m freakingly busy drying up the whole bowl of noodle.

yeah it’s pretty good considering the fact that i dun really like to eat Fish Head Noodles at all..
P/S - 1000D eh..not bad..practice more, especially on white balance..
