Sanook @ Kelana Jaya - Dear’s Birthday Celebration Part I
Posted by: desmond-t in Food, MalaysiaI shall kick off the first part (of four) birthday celebrations I had with my dearest. First stop - Sanook, Plaza Kelana Jaya. It’s a nice place, no doubt about that. Many of you would have known and seen blogs mentioning this place and I shall just go to the wide selection of food alrite?
I simply love their ambience. The lakeside restaurant is one of a kind. That means you can really take a nice range of photo from the reflection of the lake water. Plus the restaurant itself is pretty well decorated and designed.
Just take a good look at the bar. Most of the people would dine by the lake, so pretty deserted lah this bar.
Food? Are you ready? Fret not, they are all very well cooked and prepared. A true pleasurable dining experience.
Crispy Barramundi - RM22.00, Bi’s lil sister had this plate. After I curi-curi makan sikit, taste really special. For the fact I never tried anything which looked so high-class wan… From the way they stacked the food, just like those fine dining type. You can see the garing-ness rite? Crunchy! Crispy!
Combo BBQ Salmon - RM26.00 Chiew Ling had this salmon combo. Very nice distinct taste of salmon when two pieces of salmon were prepared in different way and sauce. Nice decoration isn’t it? Tak sanggup wana makan lar!
Chicken Rollette - RM30.00 My dearest and Jay ordered this. Jay said the portion is abit too small but it’s fine according to my dearest LOL. Well, the dish is pretty ordinary though.
Roast Chicken Chop - RM22.00 Chee Boo’s ultimate platter. We were all impressed when this plate arrived. It looked the grandest and it certainly tasted that way too.
Chicken Gordon Bleu - RM23.00 Captain How’s order. The lighting spoiled this picture I’d say. The actual desciption is far better than this picture. It looks more reddish and definitely you’ll drool to have it in front of you.
Lasagna Bolognaise - RM16.00, My favourite. If you compare this with William’s Corner, this is definitely cheaper and nicer! The cheese is just everlasting lah. Blend with the perfect tomato bolognaise sauce and everything is perfect lah… describe so much also you cannot picture it the right way LOL
My dear and I.
The groupie. Ahh… I like this place.
The specially requested cake I ordered from FatBoyBakes - Baked Rum & Raisins Cheese Cake. My sincere thanks especially to Cheng Yi for his fabulous suggestion (initially they only have Rum & Raisins Pie) and indeed I am lucky to be the first customer to order this cake from FatBoyBakes. All thumbs up, from all of us who tasted the cake. Perfect blend of cheese, rum & raisins baked to perfection. You completed our night, FatBoyBakes!
Again, no pictures from the drinks we took cos we found it’s pretty normal… we had those happy hour beer and the ice blended dirnks. Typical rite? Overall, Sanook has got a perfect ambience for photography especially the picturesque view from the lake itself. I’ll save one entry for that purpose later on.
Plus, Plaza Kelana Jaya has more to offer, with other pubs and other hang-out area perfect to release your stress off after streneous day of work. A booming place to be!
