Pictures for this blog entry were taken using Sony DSC-H3 camera while I was trying out this so-called “prosumer” camera before switching to DSLR photography. I made up my mind by picking up Canon 1000D, after testing out with Nikon D60, D80 and Canon 350D, 450D. At last, no more pictures from my V3xx and N73!

This is probably the best Pan Mee in town, recommended few years back by Eve from apple4today. Strategically located in the heart of KL city, it is just a walk across the road from Tune Hotel of Air Asia at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. Enter a small road on the opposite side, I reckon it is behind Lorong Tunku Abdul Rahman 2. You will see a stretch of old shoplots and you are spot on!

I would say they have a few special features for their Pan Mee. Unfortunately, the serving is pretty small for RM4.50 per bowl which comes in a standard size. No size up, hehe.

Right after camping and whitewater rafting at Sg. Sedim, Kulim, my next destination was this famous and secluded restaurant deep inside Kulim. Many of you might have heard of it, largely because it has been promoted on TV by Jason a.k.a “Axian” of the food program called “Taste With Jason” on Astro AEC.

Yes, I am a big fan of Axian and I would definitely try the food he recommended in his program whenever I have the chance. No matter how far he goes, if I so happen to pass by, I won’t miss my chance to verify his recommendations. Previously was of course the Tanjuang Tualang Fresh Water Lobster/Prawns food post (gonna post a second update, COMING SOON!).

Why is this place so special? It must be really special which drives me all the way from KL to eat in this “ulu kampung” area right? If you are wondering why, Desmond-t is going to tell you that simply because their dish is super-FRESH and most of all - cooked to perfection!

Let’s head to the Restaurant Kolam Ikan.

When you see this small road with shady oil palms, you’re right at the doorstep. Plenty of places to park, but still, the more cars you see, the longer you’ll have to wait for a seat because the restaurant itself does not accomodate more than 25 tables I guess.

At last, the food is here. I know many of you have been waiting for this entry.
CK Lam, Allie, SlowCatchUpKuan, CindyC … I know how much you guys indulge in food blogging, as trust me, I like to eat as much as you do! Hehe thank you very much for your comments, you guys inspired me to blog even more! Here you go with the food from Macao.

One step at a time, k? Jordin Sparks taught me this way.

So, what is the most-freaking-famous food in Macao? I bet you guys should have noticed the preview of my post in my *NEW* “Coming Up Next” sidebar section. Portuguese Egg Tart it is, and hence a prolonged introduction.

As many of you might know, Macau used to be colonized by the Portuguese for quite sometime and the cultural exchange is almost as much like some of the Serani’s in Malacca. Even now, wherever you go in Macao, there is signboards written in Portuguese language. But the funny thing is, when you ask any of the Chinese locals, they do not understand a single word of Portuguese, and the Portuguese locals,…they do not know anything much about the Chinese. Hmm…not much cultural exchange though, but definitely not for food.

Last weekend, ShiMikY da man was in town to settle his chores and replenish his Astro stocks. That’s what he said but for me, that is just his lousy reason to stop by KL to whack some tantalizing food. The day after our Look Out Point outing, we’re all set for a breakfast hunt at Klang.

The only thing that can drag my lazy bump to wake up so early on Sundays - food, nice food to be precise. I bet these people are very much like me. Wah lao eh! Sunday morning no need sleep ah! All wake up so early come rebut with me!

Drooling already? Click HERE to check out the delicacies!
